Campaign for Better Nutrition: bus shelter, poster and direct mailer
CBN is a non profit organization that supports low income families by improving the nutrition they receive in public programs. In an effort to rebrand themselves, they needed a cleaner and more approachable look to their communications, and also make the public aware that EBT cards (food stamps) could be used at farmers markets. The large format posters were displayed on 4 bus shelters throughout S.F, while smaller posters were hung up at farmer's markets and also mailed to EBT recipients.

SFUSD Student Nutrition Services: menu design, identity, poster, and newsletter
SNS is a nonprofit branch of the San Francisco Unified School District. It's goal is to improve the nutrition in the public school lunch program, as well as removing the stigma around the free lunch provided to low income students. The menu design incorporated input from high school students, and also allowed for them to contribute new artwork to the designs monthly. Pilar created original illustrations and icons for the menu as a guideline for future student work. click here to see the identity project.
